Once registered you will start earning BetterPoints straightaway for walking, wheeling, running, cycling and taking the bus. You can spend your rewards at participating local retailers or donate them to good causes in York.
Tommy Treebark's Wild Adventure
Launched by The York BID in April 2025, the trail tasks you with finding 50 wild Yorkshire animals decorating brightly coloured benches across 11 locations in York (see map below).
BetterPoints York participants can earn 275 BetterPoints - 25 BetterPoints per location - and entry to a weekly prize draw for a £20 York Gift Card when you visit each location and find the animals. These rewards are available from 14 July - 14 September.
You can pick up a trail leaflet from the Visitor Information Centre on Parliament Street to help you find all 50 animals. Once you've completed the trail, hand in your leaflet at the Visitor Information Centre to win a Tommy Treebark badge, soft animal, or mini beast viewer.
